I went away to college in the fall of '94 and got my first email account. The standard assigned username was first initial + first 7 of the last name. Being a rather uncreative person, I've used the same user name for the last 13+ years. Time flys.

That's not so bad. I do that for my email account. Heck, I should do that on here. With my last name, nobody will know how to say my screen name.

I don't get it ... :? What's lexan?

Lexan is the far more superior choice for RC car bodies. Not like that crap white stuff Tamiya uses.

Mine is from my old Paintball Team. I used to use AutomagToo (still my eBay name), because that was my first "Tourney Grade" Marker. When I broke down and upgraded to an Electronic Marker (WDP Angel), I decided to change to the name of MY fields Team. I chose MONSTER, not Monsters, as the name of the Team, with the idea of us playing as ONE entity. It took a whole season to get people NOT to call us MONSTERs. Anyway, the Team started breaking up long about the time cheating became so RAMPANT in Competitive Paintball, and I wanted NO part of that, but by then I had a MONSTER GT, so I decided to just keep the name.
And, another Paintball Field Operator and I were reffered to as the "Two Headed Monster" (meant as an insult  ) when we were making the rules for the first league in our area.

Another long, conveluted story, huh? I TRY to keep them short, but I just cant help it.

Well, I have always had a love for the weaklings of the automotive/motorcycle world and have also had a "shop" of sorts catering to said vehicles. So years back a (now departed, unfortunately :( ) rally driver friend used to tell his wife he was going to visit "the temple of speed" to pray for horsepower, which actually meant going to stare at a bunch of underpowered crap I was toying with and drink beer. The name just stuck after that, and now through several different venues I'm currently in TOS III...

It's kind of a left-handed complement, since the "speed" part was always tuning some underpowered Vespa, Velosolex, Citroen 2CV, two-stroke SAAB, or 36hp VW. A quart of performance from a pint pot kind of thing. I still have an affection for 50cc European motorcycles/mopeds/scooters, and really any underdog small displacement cars, although most of my collection is for sale. I'm trying to thin things down in my "old age"...

I also have a nice 1977 Datsun 620 "De-Luxe" cab (King Cab was '78) truck that I un-lowered...

mine was pretty uncreative but I wanted to make sure you all knoew I was female. So the RC obviously is for remote control and the chick being slang for female. Kinda stupid but it works. I also chose it becasue I was tired of using my normal screen names of a nickname I got 15 years ago little one.

I used to have a 92 chevy pickup that I mounted a Cadillac Escalade front clip on. That's the name I used on the truck forums.
RC's are like ****'s... everyone has one... some are just more torn up then others.

I always have a different 'handle' for online forums I visit. I use skunk.werkz for most car related boards, and it is derived from Skunk Works which is the program at Lockheed Martin which is responsible for a number of famous aircraft designs, including the U-2, SR-71, F-117, and the F-22.

Code: Select all

Skunk Works is used in engineering and technical fields to describe a group within an organization given a high degree of autonomy and unhampered by bureaucracy, tasked with working on advanced or secret projects. This term was popularized by a division of the same name within the Lockheed Martin corporation. Several of their successes at managing time-sensitive, complex projects have popularized the term. The term is also used analogously in other fields, especially business, to describe any self-contained, semi-autonomous work-group or committee that directly manages its own projects.

For the true Hondafile it was one hell of a performance company in the late 90's too
