I think a site like this would want to encourage a new member to join here and there. I find it annoying that just because someone has a smaller postcount than you, suddenly you are smarter than them. Somebody like Jammin' Jay could join the site tommorrow but it makes him an idiot cuz he has one post and you have 1200, right?
Or maybe I'm just annoyed at the fact that when I first joined and I won a sidewinder body in an auction you sent me a PM trying to get me to trade it to you for something I could buy anywhere... because n00bs are stupid, right?

Rant over.
I don't understand why you have gotten so upset after I wrote a light hearted (I thought) response to the topic being discussed. You have written a personal attack against me for no reason.

Noob, or n00b is an abbreviation of newbie, it just means someone new to something (e.g. the board not the hobby) and isn't derogatory, we all start somewhere. It doesn't imply I think I am better than you or anyone else, it's just short hand to save me writing new member. I don't agree when people lord there post count over other people and I have never done that and I don't think anyone does here. I only have a higher post count than you because I have been a member of the site longer and have replied to more posts, it doesn't mean anything more.

Finally you imply I am some sort of con-man trying to rob you or something. I wanted a body you won as part of a lot and you were enquiring whether the lot was a good deal (I didn't know if you wanted the body as you said you bought the lot for a stealth tranny). As you brought pm's (that's private message btw) into it and are insinuating I did something wrong here's what I wrote;

Hi,

I think you got a great deal mate. BTW would you consider trading your Sidewinder body for a new in bag Viper or Protech? You see I have a TQ10 (the car this body is for) project and am looking for a body.

Warm regards

Ed
You never replied and I never pressed the issue, so what's the problem? I think if you don't ask you don't get, so I ask. Quite frankly mate I think you owe me an apology and I would thank you not to try and defame my name and character in the future.

Badillac man, we all get along here and we take great pride in the fact that this forum is VERY much flame free. We bust each others stones from time to time but never in malicious nature. Ed (Dr. Robotnik) is a great guy and I know you're not really "new" here anymore and you've contributed a lot to this forum lately but I hope wiht time you'll see that NO ONE here is a scam artist or in anyway trying to take advantage of anyone else. We're all very close and although I don't think any apologies either way are in order (more of a forgive and forget fan), lets all just try and not take things so personally. I can see how that term would be derogatory for sure on other boards but not with these guys. You, just like I did when i joined, will find that they are ALL very quick to let you close to them and there are some very good friendships that have formed from here from our love of one silly toy car. Lets just all have a good time and keep the hostility (and i'm not just talking to Badillac here either) down and enjoy what is a VERY rare group of people.

If it helps here's what i do when i get mad at someone... I keep this picture of Robotnik and Asso on my desktop and I look at it when i feel like i'm getting mad. It may seem like they're gay but just try to keep in mind... they're just European. :lol: It gives me the warm fuzzies so maybe it will help others so here it is.

No spying involved, just a couple of blokes holding hands, skipping through a field... you know, harmony.

Thanks for the kind words Erich! Woot.

I was just a bit miffed when I read that at the weekend as my girlfriend just got the internet and she asked what that cool site which I went on was, so I was annoyed when I showed her and I'd got bashed, but never mind, not the end of the world...

I am in the blue shirt and if that pic shows anything it shows that I am special! :lol:
