Updated this car with vintage electronics/battery (except receiver)...even S148 on the servo

Just had a read over this thread, cracking resto. Never thought of painting a chassis too! It looks as good as new.

Redoing mine.
Filled gaps and holes with jb weld. Sanded it it all smooth. Painted it with black rustoleum or equivalent spray balm and cleared it with cheap automotive clearcoat from ebay.

Made some battery changes....put a 7 cell unit in and rebuilt the motor...it's had a rough life on the shelf!...when Thumbs came down last weekend it was slow...pulled motor, only cranking 19k rpm...cut the comm, new brushes, etc...30.5k rpm now at @3.75 amps
