Dumb? How do you un register for a web-site? As I said in the first post, I was new and I just wanted to meet new friends and keep the posting/reading going and keep things fun, and the site moderator calls me dumb? None of my opinions were offensive to anyone and you take a cheap shot at my IQ! Do you treat all of your new (ex)members this way? See ya somewhere else down the line! But not here.

Oh lighten up already. You posted a very long list of reasons as to why one car is superior to the other. I disagreed with most of it. I could have gone in and taken it apart point by point, but I didn't feel like doing it, instead I took the easy route. I don't think you are dumb. It's that post that I think is dumb. Okay? I certainly did not mean it as a personal attack on you or your IQ. Heck, I was a straight C student in school, so I'm probably dumber than most people on this board.
If you want to leave, that's fine, but I think you should stay. If you do stay, try not to take things so seriously or literally. This is a colorful discussion and everyone's opinion is valid. Yours is just as important as mine, or anyone else's. You could have come back and said I was an idiot and it would not have bothered me. Or, you could have come at me with a put up or shut up attitude and we could have had a "which one really is better" no-holds-barred cage match of a debate. I suppose the typed word loses the inflection that the spoken word has. I've got to try to keep that in mind, but I tend to shoot from the hip in real life and out here on the internet. Rarely do I ever intend to offend, and when I do it's a heck of a lot uglier than anything I've ever posted on this board.
As for this moderator and his opinion. Don't worry about it. Don't let what I say ruin your day or enjoyment of this board. This place is a great resource full of a lot of great people. If you are wondering, about the only way you can get banned is by ripping people off or making physical threats. Since we started, we've only banned one person.
Stick around. I think you'll be glad you did.

Re: jrx2 versus RC10
Just so this thread doesn't end on a bummer I have to throw in my opinion. Xanadu, if that's your real name??
You threw down the gauntlet when you said you were ending the thread and the RC10 is better period. Not only did you start the thread, but you asked a question that is no doubt going to get passionate answers. You can only begin a thread, you cannot end it. There are only two ways to end a thread...
A. I have to post something so stupid that everyone abandons it forever...
Or B. Someone states definitive facts that cannot be disputed.
And most importantly: People only harrass their friends. So by calling your post(again, not you) dumb he was actually welcoming you. You can't take anything, especially a vintage R/C forum too seriously. Now that I have posted this thread will officially end...
And by the way...If Arachnaphobia was just out on HBO when I was building it did I have a JRX2 or JRXPro? See? No one ever answeres me, but I keep coming back...

The XX came before the B2. I remember this because I used to drool over my friend's XX sitting in the pit. I dont know why because I still kicked his but with my Worlds Car.mrlexan wrote: Further down the road and somewhat off topic.....I can't remember which came out first the B2 or the XX?
Also the T2 came before the B2. The B2 seemed to be the first complete redesign that AE had. The T2 was awesome and it was my favorite car to ever race, but it was mostly evolutionary from the 10T. The entire front end was interchangeable, and most of the rear suspension was too. The B2 basically had nothing in comon with the RC10 and very little in common with the T2.

I didn't race when i had my rc10 as kid but i have been looking into this jrx-2. i seem to like the rc10 better. It's so much more iconic.

Re: jrx2 versus RC10
What about the reliability of the JRX2 in the 80's and early 90's?
The guys I raced against were always wrenching and breaking parts on their Losi cars - anybody else experience this?
They were quick but to finsh first you have to finish.
I am sure that I am not the only guy that called them "Team Lousy" back in the day.
But 20 years later i have to admit that I have a few JRX2's (strictly for comparison purposes only)

Re: jrx2 versus RC10
The Mustang is better than the Camaro, the Red Sox are better than the Yankees, and Led Zeppelin is better than the Beatles or Stones. Oh, yeah back to the topic. I'm a Losi fan-always have been, always will be. That is my preference. Not to say there is anything wrong with Associated, Kyosho, or Tamiya- it is what I choose to drive and collect. All manufacturers have made there own contributions to our hobby in their own way, but to say one is better than the other-I don't think you can.

Yeah, the JR's had their growing pains (brittle orange wheels, brittle CV joints if motor spray got on them, etc...) but they quickly fixed those issues and made the JR as reliable as any other car.

Re: jrx2 versus RC10
I bought my first RC10 Team Car in 1990. To be honest, I went to buy a JRX2 and the Hobby shop owner who I became friends with talked me into buying a RC10 team car black tub with stealth. He said it;s the hot new thing on the black! So I did. Never regretted it because I fell in love with the car. I still have it. But i think the JRX2 was awesome for it's day. In the 80's when it came out it had a graphite chassis and the longer arms that were similar to what my Team car had. So wasnt the JRX2 first with there parts? a few years difference here. Because the RC10 gold had short arms. The longer team car arms came out after the JRX2 right? The JRX2 was 1988 or so and my team car was 1990. So to me the JRX2 was race ready with hopo ups out of the box, But to this day I love my Team Cars! I also have a few new Team Car graphites with black parts and special team chassis, awesome cars!!! So now I have a collection of both, I have been building my JRX2 cars now. I have a new box artr JRX2, a new built box art Junior Two, a show queen/runner JRX2 early buggy, and have been collecting parts, 3 new original JRX2 bodies ,junior two bodies, vintage painted bodies. I am just a RC nut! Car crazy!!!

Re: jrx2 versus RC10
it was not the cars that won the races or championships, it was the drivers behind the wheel

They're all fun toys.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

I say we take a NIB JRX2 Pro and a NIB RC10 Graphite, and drop them off a bridge and see which hits the water first to declare the winner.
