Scollins, can you give me a wheelbase measurement on your car from front axle to rear axle? I am trying to get an idea of what it will take to do this with a GT, and since I would be using the same body as you I will need to have the same wheelbase.
I moved the rear suspension arm mounts in the forward screw hole position to help get to that dimension.
The front nose kick up plate was slid back into the tub approximately 27mm with the nose tubes shortened and re-bent accordingly. The material of the chassis tub was taken out of the side walls where the back of the nose tubes normally mount. Also re-drilled and moved back the pivot points for the steering rack about 6mm from their original places. Hope this helps- i just gave you all the secrets i had on this little project

Thanks!
GT is the gas truck, right?
I measured the wheel base on my truck with this same body and it's a little bit more than Scollins with the suspension fully out: about 250mm.
Because of the kick-up angle, the front wheels will move a little backward when the suspension gets compressed. With a truck's wider track and bigger travel, the effect is more noticeable than with the buggy.
Hey Scollins,
is it you who built that awesome rat pick-up with a midnight P. body?
The Scorcher RC10 will be in development for a couple more weeks- If you guys are interested, I may build another and post it for sale in the next month or two. Stay tuned! scollins
Hi all, no updates yet on my RC10-Sand Scorcher, but I built one for a friend last week and this is what it looks like, pretty cool huh??? (Shortened wheelbase with chassis mods as I described in earlier posts) Now I have to get mine done, LOL...............scollins
This thing looked sooo schweet I did not want to send it back to my buddy. It will tear a Tamiya Sand Scorcher a new one on performance...Cant wait to get mine done now.
I decided to build 2 of them, one "mild" and one WILD!
Love um to death, but I guess I just got bored looking at all traditional bodied RC10s, even the two that I have! lol. Glad you approve Special Ed, I mean scr8p!
I recently picked this up from a FB post after wanting a 10T since the 90's. Plan is to go through it and get it running on modern electronics.

front bumper looks rpm sc10t-ish...or traxxas rpm slash. picture really isn't good enough for me to see it straight on so its guessing.
As I mentioned in the intro post, I got this car for $50 from the previous owner who turned out to be a meth addict, so i probably saved it from a worse fate.
I had it sitting in storage for 10-15 years and dug it out. Reasons for digging it out...
The overall plan is to incorporate a mix of classic, world's, aftermarket and vintage parts

Do you find that the dhawk rear bulkhead stiffens up the rear end of the chassis? The nylon bulkhead allows some flex in the rear, so curious if the aluminum bulkhead solves that.
Since this is the first and only RC10 I've ever built, I am unable...
Here are some pictures of my current RC10 project. I'm building it like the one I had as a kid, but with some upgrades that I couldn't afford back then. 2010-09-25_17-43-21_627.jpg DSCF2614.jpg DSCF2616.jpg DSCF2680.jpg DSCF2682.jpg DSCF2686.jpg

Here's a updated picture with the Composite Craft chassis.
One of the Tecnacraft rear axles can be seen in this picture.
I know it's too late to attempt to do the box art RC10 since I started just 2 years ago and collecting what's needed for the project.
Anyway, I would like to share my RC10 which is like any other RC10's here.
The car still need to be rebuilt,...

Thanks, I've kept buying that I needed for my box art project and tossed it on my bin box through the years. I was surprised I got too many of some of the items. I don't mean to be greedy just did'nt had the time to check what I already have....
Hello, I am a new member on this forum and write from Spain. I have several RC cars and i love old school offroad racing cars. 90's decade cars are my favorite. Associated cars is my favorite. I runed several races in 90's with a rc10 b2 and then b3...
Picked up this lightly used b2 roller that I tore down cleaned up and added new front tower and new rear tires and bearings to the steering. I will replace some other parts as I go as well as some of the hardware.

I’d go with a full clean up first and see how it looks. Maybe better to embrace the pink as to change it you’ll be doing a lot of work.
