I think I recall one of the articles detailing a pro associated driver BITD claiming the tub could be cut down by half of its original height with no appreciable loss in integrity. I think I;m going to do mine by that method. Scr8p's has a very nice visual presentation though!

OOPS! From the angle of the front arms they looked like the ones I sent. Regardless the car is still very nice. Very cool mod adapting the moter plate. Even though you wish less material was removed from the rear suspension mount, I doubt you will have any problems with it.scr8p wrote:those are actually the dynotech arms. your arms are being used for another build in the works.bigjeepzz wrote:Those arms sure do look good on the car![]()

Any info on that RPM 1.96 ratio case? Never heard of it, I only thought they had the one that is still available(2.6:1?). Is it a different upper gear or ??????

Re: Another what's old is new build............
the 1.96 is pretty much the same thing as the 2.65. you still use a standard 2.25 diff and idler gear, but it has more teeth on the topshaft to raise the internal ratio (2.25 to a 1.96), where the 2.65 has less teeth on the topshaft to lower it (2.25 to a 2.65).
also, the 1.96 cases are a light gray, where the 2.65 cases are white.

Re: Another what's old is new build............
interesting....that puts it closer to a 6 gear ratio....is that for dirt oval or something? curious why they would lower the ratio, compared to a stealth ratio......

Re: Another what's old is new build............
ya, it was more for the oval crowd back in the day. but now with how much torque the 17.5's have, and the need to go much bigger on the pinion to run them compared to a 27t brushed motor, it'll work fine in offroad. hoopty has one in "stinky pinky" and that car freakin' ripped with a 17.5............
