Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
White tires looks awesome, but offroad tires would really do the trick. Troll perhaps?
The red alloys are top notch, but I guess it all depends on the paint scheme on the body.

Something like this?Mr. ED wrote:Make that a white body with some red and black pin-striping and it will realy pop (the racer style, not hotrod or cruiser style)

Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
something which keeps the middle between that and this :
PS: turbo optima style?
I wonder if you could cap those white foams with a black top and make them look like white walls: for a salt lake racer rod kinda thing

Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
Finely after almost 5 month I got around and painted the body for the Tomahawk last night. As I have stated many times before “I suck when it comes to paint bodies”! I hope I can cover up some of the flows with some decals.

Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
That turned out really nice! Trim it up and mount it so we can see the finished product. I think it will look great with the white wheels.

Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
THat is a beautiful yet simple scheme, HCP. I too am anxious to see it mounted up! I like the black a piller/roll bars setoff with the different color on the roof. Reminds me of Tanakasan's Time Tunnel Cars. Setting of the "cage" part of the body, and contrast color on the roof makes even an all lexan body look more "scale", I think.

Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
Thanks for all the nice comments, but you have bear with me for a week or so. The upcoming week I have to isolate my roof for the upcoming winter season.
I like a simple scheme that most1:1 race cars have, and there is resend for that to. If you end up crashing some body parts, it should be easy to paint up a new fender or whatever.
I think I the white tires will go nicely whit that white body, and some red AJ’S decals.

PS. When I said “I suck when it comes to paint bodies” I meant the actually paint work! Not the scheme… I always try to get the masking tight, but I seams to fail every time

I was thinking anodize a set of nerf bars and adding a small wing…

Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
Lars, don't shoot me , but I think black tires will look better onhere after-all.
The combination of broken -white with bright white is just not working out that well.
White lettering on the tire walls though...
