Gotta love the side by side! That must have been really difficult to achieve.

I may have missed it somewhere in the thread, but do you have the proper electronics for it too?
CX-III esc's and ps87 servos were already a hard and pricey find. But with the availability of this kit, for those that really want a Masami replica, at auction..... be prepared to pay.

Oh WOW. I just assumed it was before and after electronics photos.
HOLY COW, that's absolutely phenomenal!

No, unfortunately not and I don't think there's any possibility of getting any reasonably priced as you say..
So I will say its done for now. Only have the underside of the chassis left. Protective film and all.

So kind of done!
Only the underside with the Ko Propo decal and the protective film left.

Beautiful!
Amazing attention to detail and the photo 're-creations' - perfect!

Don't give up looking. Things have a way of showing up at the right time.... though it may take awhile.
I knew right away I wouldn't bother with a Masami replica for mine. Electronics being one reason, but mainly the fact that I already have 4 Masami replicas. I do not need any more.
I did consider pulling the stuff out of this '88 JMRCA replica since I lost ambition to complete it years ago. But then, what good is it? It's way too far to really be anything else at this point. So I'm leaving it alone, and I'll build the Stealth car in a generic fashion but try to make it
historically accurate. I'll get back to this one eventually.

Yeah you're right. We'll see what turns up. Period correct is good enough for me.
I will for sure follow your take on the Stealth car. That is one of the pleasures with these kind of projects. At first you really want to recreate the holy grail from bitd, but as time goes by and you read up on things it's evolving into more personal takes and/or a completely different direction.
I use to take the Ford GT40 as an example (if you are a Ford-guy). At first everybody wants the MK I with the Gulf livery. Then you start to read up on the history and you start glancing at Ken Miles or Chris Amon's MK II. Once that has settled you look at the MK IV and go naah!... That is when you see the raod car, the MK III that was produced (about seven of them) and think
Thats the one.

I saw this back in 2021. All I had time to do was take a screenshot before someone snapped it up!!!! it was like 80 something EURO plus shipping. What a steal!!!
What we don't always realise is that stuff get sold on ebay as "buy now" and vanishes in seconds, and nobody is none the wiser.
So sankil never give up it could show up in a few years... Who knows!
