Can you put a B4 stealth transmission in a gold tub 10? If so, what else do you need to do to make it functionable?
Thanks

Are you wanting the complete trans including case or just the guts? I suppose "anything" is possible if you drill etc. Trouble is, getting the holes for a newer B4 stealth just so w/o a template is tough. When the Stealth was first offered as an upgrade, it included a rather stout template for precise drilling (not that it didn't stop people from messing up the holes).
Agree with trying to find an RC10 w/ a stealth. I seem to recall trying this w/ my spare B4 and the inner guts are smaller IIRC.

Re: B4 stealth transmission in a gold tub??
all original stealth parts can still be bought new except for the case and thrust bearing for the slipper. but those wouldn't be too hard to come by if you look or ask around for them.
keep your eyes open on ebay and 'im sure you can find one that's complete. other bolt in tranny options include; original 6 gear trans, mip trans, a&l belt trans, rpm stealth 2.65 conversion trans.
the rpm stealth conversion comes with new case and top shaft. you use the idle gear and diff along with the slipper out of the normal stealth. get the parts you can buy new for the stealth trans and the rpm conversion and all you are left needing is the thrust bearing for the slipper. i'm sure someone here knows where we may be able to find one that will work in place of an original one.

Thanks. I will either try to find a stealth tranny for the gold tub or try to get my 6 gear to run smoother.

The 6594 thrust bearing/washer kit is still available and can be used in place of the original 6586 thrust bearing & washers.
You can still buy all the parts needed to build a stealth transmission using the RPM 2.65 conversion case and the parts for a T3 slipper.

Re: B4 stealth transmission in a gold tub??
I was able to stuff a B3 stealth in my gold tub.
You will need a dremel tool, file and a couple hours.

rc10johnny, please refrain from offering things up for sale in the forums. we have a b/s/t for that. eventually, you can get access to it.

Re: B4 stealth transmission in a gold tub??
Did anyone ever get the B4 trans to fit? It has a few benefits over the original stealh for the newer brushless/ lipo power.
