RC-10 Battery Strap ID

I thought my dad made this battery strap, but now I hear some early RC-10s came with them.

Can anyone confirm if this is in fact an original associated battery strap?

That does not appear to be an original AE. The original AE fiberglass straps look just like the standard plastic ones.

Looks like a front suspension cross brace for a RC12i.

COOL! Now I a) know what that little fiberglass piece in my parts box that doesn't fit any hinge pin widths on any of my cars belongs to and 2) also know what I can use it for!!!!! Thanks!!!
