Re: Kyosho Hilux Body?
Belongs to the garden racers serie; 1/12 scale, japanese market only, had a buggy twin brother also.
I believe it's hard-bodied so Marwan can't help you
(I saw a NIB about 2 years back in a japanese store and think i found the info on TC)

Re: Kyosho Hilux Body?
I don't think those bodies are hard plastic. I have one of the sand skippers. The body is flexible like lexan but was vaccum formed out of some other thin colored plastic. provided that Marwan was able to get a good form, he could pop repros all day long and maybe into the night a bit.+

Re: Kyosho Hilux Body?
i actually think i have a lead on a sand skipper body, which is preferable since i have the roll cage..

Re: Kyosho Hilux Body?
The hilux body I have is lexan and not any type of hard plastic. Both the skipper and the hilux are supposed to have the roll cage installed (note the pic on the manual). I have thought about making a repro of the body and still might, I just have too many on my to do list.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Mike, do you have your hands on the decal sheet? I'd would like to repro that.

Re: Kyosho Hilux Body?
i almost did, i got out bid on a ebay germany auction, it was at like $150 us/100 euro, and jumped to 150 euro or something at end, out of my price range. the auction had decals.
i bought a mint condition sand skipper but no body or decals.
these cars and parts jump up on ebay from time to time i see because Robbe Released the Hilux and Sand Skipper at the same time over there... i keep watching.
ill let ya know if i acquire any.

its actually a interesting car, tires are inflatable with a small pump that it came with, no shocks. going to sell mine probably without the body, its flawless

Neat,
It looks more like an old Honda Pilot than a RC car.
