Possible vintage offroad race in Ohio.......
hey guys, i was just wondering if there'd be any interest in a vintage race in ohio. there's a couple venues in mind, but nothing is set in stone. and to be honest, i don't have much to tell you at all about it. i think we'd be shooting at a spring race. april.... maybe may. i don't want it too close the vonats in september, or too close to the onroad nats in february. and it probably won't even happen for next year, but maybe for 2011.
this is mainly a quest to try and get more of the midwest guys out to a vintage race/rc10talk get together. i fully understand the travel time to get to ct for the vonats is way up there. so, if your drive time could be cut in half..... or more, you might be more willing to make a go of it.
i would hope to keep the same rules as the vonats. i don't see any need to change them.
so let us know what you think. but remember, we're just in the "discussing it" phase right now, although i have spoke to one of the track owners that i had in mind a week or so ago. which is one reason why i need to guage interest.... for that place anyway.

I am interested. I am commiting to a couple of events already in Ohio next year and I am wanting to do next fall Vonats... which I have a real good friend only living 15 min away in CT.
But in Ohio makes it easier for me!

Depending when the race is I'd be interested in attending.
Hey Freddy, can I hitch a ride with you and the family?
