Just saying HI with a question to boot!!
Hey guys,
The name's Joel, I'm from the Charlotte NC area and I found you guys off of Clodtalk. It's good to be hear. I"m currently going through my "early life crisis" and buying a few of the rc cars I never had as a kid. Near the end of last year I scored a gold chassis 1st gen and a 1st gen RC10T off ebay as an impulse buy. Well, then I was stuck with two old cars that I knew nothing about, and that's how they sat. Long story short, I"m just now getting around to messing with the buggy. The truck pretty much came ready to bash, so that's what it's been used for. Nothing fancy. The Buggy is rougher and is in major need of cleaning and a little resto.
My question is, what is the best way to convert the buggy to more of a dual sport style? I know I can go to Associated site and just compare the schematics, but i"m sure there are ways around having to try and order all the original stuff. I just want a nice runner that I can put better wheels on with a nice street body or two and have fun. I have the truck for offroad, as well as my Emaxx and my clod, so I need something for the parking lots. A nice set of foams would be nice, maybe even do a protouring style car. Anyway, lemme know what you think.
I'll try to get pics up soon.

Joel,If it's just some foams your looking for,TM RC Racing components carries foams for the RC 10.
http://www.tm-rc-racingcomponents.com/
If you plan on running your buggy in a parking lot,you might consider a bit stiffer set of springs, and a bit heavier shock oil also.Hope this gets you started.

Thanks for the link for the foams. That's definilty a start.
I am actually watching an RC10ds on ebay right now. If that doesn't work out,
then I might just start picking up the pieces a little at the time. I'd really like to run
a sedan body and such, but I might be trying to "polish a turd" and still just have
a stiffly sprung buggy.
I"ll see how the ebay thing works out and see what happens from there.
Thanks again for the info.
