Addiction or Hobby???

Post by nsr250_repsol »

Well I just moved into a new house after moveing from S. Korea to Italy (I'm in the Air Force). for the first time my wife got a quantitative glipse of my collection as I was moving my boxes to my new "man cave". All she said was, "That is toooooo much". The funny part is this is only about 2/3 of my collection. I have a bunch of NIB kits in storage that will be delivered in Dec. In the pile is no less than 4 Avntes, 2 RC10 Worlds cars, Optima, Slinshot kit, Turbo Ultima Kit, Pro Radiant, 2 0r 3 Team cars, RC10 Gold, 1 Champ car, RC10B2, 2 RC10T, Parts to build a a BBT sprinter, 3 Planes, B4, SC10, B44, DEX410, RC8B, RC8BE, T-Rex450V2, and a TRF416X. I woll post more pics when unpacked this weekend.

OK so most of it is unpacked and sorted but the rest of my stuff will be delivered on Monday! I have only been waiting for 4 months to get it... Any way here is the beginnings of my new man cave and a teaser for an upcomming project.

Do note that is is only a little more than half of my collection.... I think I have over 50 cars, 4 panes, and 3 helies. And yet I still search ebay for kits I already have...why?

No that guys has an addiction and a stupid amount of money...but, I would question his envolvement in the hobby sice he does not post any other pics than NIB kits. I wonder if this guy has even driven the GTO or an RC in his collection.

"...All she said was, "That is toooooo much". " take what i'm going to tell you seriously. i suggest you keep an eye on her and start getting ready a packed bag for her. because before you know it she'll start whimpering that you should start getting rid of your collection, and "buy her a ring". watch her VERY closely. and take inventory of what you got. if she gets wind of the cost of your collection, things start missing. there is no girl out there worth getting rid of your collection for.

I really don't have to worry about the wife selling off my collection or getting a divorce over it either. Honestly she is probably right to say this is toooo much. There are cars in my collection I bought because I sort of wanted and don't hold any significance to me. A small portion of my collection will be sold but would be even if the wife didn't say it was toooo much. I only think I would need to worry about the wife complaining if I went out and bought a bunch more for my collection but, there is very little out there that is on my wish list. There will be no mass sellout or divorce in my future 8)
