JRX2 5-link racer build
Just documenting my 5 link runner which will be raced.
I am using a JRX Pro chassis. So far, it has the RPM front swept arms, carriers and steering arms and a Pro Se shock tower. I drilled through the bulkhead like the LXT set up so I could more securely anchor the shock tower with longer bolts and nuts, I have had these loosen on me in the past. It will have full ball bearing steering, which I recently sourced.
For the record, the ball ends are associated #6277 and #6276 (gasp, but I have lots of them) and the steering and camber turnbuckles are 1 7/8" lunsford titanium both using lunsford ball ends.
RPM delrin balls on the five link, I will be running B4 wheels with .125 spacers in the rear with the links spaced in .25" as discussed in prior builds. I spaced the lower trailing link out with aluminum spacers as I tend to think the arms are a bit close to the chassis when you space them in at the back hub.
Inside the transmission is the dual bearing ball differential with ceramic diff and thrust bearing balls and of course the slipper clutch shown. Also noting Turnigy Lipos fit perfectly in stock bulkhead and battery cup shown.
More to come.

Re: JRX2 5-link racer build
Looking great but you might want to call it a Jrx-Pro, with the pro chassis and rear tower, its going to more pro and less Jrx2 but great either way. I love the RPM arms I use them on anything I plan to run, and have for years. great build looking foward to following it.

Re: JRX2 5-link racer build
A little something else for the record. I changed the camber turnbuckles to 1 7/8 as well, same length as steering turnbuckles. Those are moved to the inner hole on the shock tower. With this set up I get essentially zero camber change through hole range of suspension. It's no worse or better than my RC10B4.1 so I say that is good.
The combo is a Pro Se shock tower, swept arms, 1 7/8" turnbuckles for camber and steering, and short steering sector arm.

Re: JRX2 5-link racer build
Just got the RPM rear links I was waiting for so stay tuned. And I am still thinking about shocks. I originally thought XXX-cr shocks, but with the price those go for and XXX's selling so cheap I am thinking on that one. I have a ton of X2 shocks I can rebuild with the newer 5015 shocks as well.

Re: JRX2 5-link racer build
I dont think Losi changed the shocks from the XXX to the XXXCR (other than threaded VS non threaded). I built a Junior 2 and put threaded shocks on all 4...it was a nice car.

Re: JRX2 5-link racer build
Good to know, it seems they usually sell on the bay used for close to $50 a set used. That's 1/3 the price of a new XXX-Cr these days. Given what I have invested in a bunch of old Jrx2's, ten million or so at this point, what's another $50

I have found if you buy the threaded shock bodies nip its cheaper than buying used shocks. I have found them on Ebay from 11-21 a set, and all of the other parts are the same as the jrx2 shocks.
