One Step Closer!!
Added a few more!!!
b]I've added some more pics so I thought I would share the new progress!![/b]
Thought I would share some pics of my restoration project(86 RC10) I have posted a few pics in two threads but will continue to update this one for people to see the progression!
Bought it from a guy that had it sitting in his basement since 86 so it was a little dirty(at least to me) but cleaned up well!!
It started out as this:
Cleaned it up to this and added a Novak Receiver & install the original stock motor that came with the car as it had never been used and was stored in a plastic motor case:
Got this Novak NESC 1 For Christmas:
The Novak NESC 1 did not have any connectors but had what I needed in the box the car came in so I soldered them on and now I have this:
I have a new piece to replace where the stock throttle servo would go for some reason the guy cut the plastic up:(
Just ordered the body & wing wire from Tower Hobbies, ordered the Box Art Decal Set from Square Head Design, and ordered the rear wing from Mr. Lexan, more pics to follow....
A little closer, have a few more pieces:
Next up is paint! Although I feel I have the skills to paint this body, I don't have an airbrush I have a guy that does some really nice work and has painted(see below) a body for me and he is going to paint the RC10 body for me for next to nothing!
Will add pics during and after the paint and then I will put on the decals!
Beginning the masking!!
The Wing Masked!
The body completely masked!
The blue stripes are now painted!!
The orange Is on!!!!!
There's the pink, just the white and black left!!!
The paint is done, next up decals!!
Finally All Done!

Wow, the underside is so clean and scratch-free orange. Nice score. I like the Novak esc and receiver in there.

Re: One Step Closer!!
Thanks everyone, yes I am very pleased with the progress!! The antenna mount is no longer on it, that was an old pic.
I cam across the Novak receiver on ebay and paid $13 to my door, and it works!! The Novak 1 is in mint condition and I found it on Rctech and got it for $25 to my door!! The guy I bought it from was the original owner and said it worked the last time he used it. If it does work great, but if not thats okay this is going on the shelf!!
Will update with pics as the progress moves forward!

Re: One Step Closer!!
Just something really cool about a plain old stock RC10 gold pan!
Nice Job.
Nice Job.
Remember it's either a runner or a shelfer. Everything else is just parts.
