Re: Currently Playing
I am listening to a little of this, and a bit of The Band, in remembrance of Robbie Robertson. This song came out when I was 13, and I have no idea why it has always been a fascinating song to me, but it has. It comes across as a bit corny today, but still just a great song to me! This was before I even knew who The Band was, so it was cool to later find out that he was part of all that greatness.

Re: Currently Playing
I literally wasted a day at work today trying to pinpoint this song. I had it bouncing around in my head, but couldn't nail enough detail down for even google to find it. Then it came to me a few minutes ago...

This came up on random while cooking breakfast this morning. Great vocals.

10,000 Maniacs was one of my favorites back in the day. Natalie has an absolute insane voice! I remember watching live when they performed a political gig on MTV (I wanna say 1992??), and M Stipe from REM popped up to duet the classic To Sir With Love (from the movie with same name). Great live track!THEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 6:38 pm This came up on random while cooking breakfast this morning. Great vocals.
The past weekend, I was cruising along and Blues Travelers Four played, and I gave it an actual listen. I only really know the album from the big "radio" songs off of it, and they are so-so, but once I started to really listen to the other tracks, I may be BT fan now! John Popper is much more of a singer than I remember him to be!

Re: Currently Playing
For some reason I am revisiting some of the music I dove deep into 2-3 years ago. I got into Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats (great band!), and Spotify and the such lead me to a bunch of bands of the same "genre," but not really as they all have their own sound. So, tonight was The Deep South, which I have to be honest, I can't take most of their sound because the lead singer's raspy voice gets old quick IMO, but a band worth looking into if you haven't listened to them before.

Re: Currently Playing
At first I thought this belonged in the other thread, but in reality the music isn't that bad. The video on the other hand...

Re: Currently Playing
For some reason, I can't shake this. I don't think the song above is exactly what was stuck in my head that day. It may have been this song, but I'm not real sure this is it either. It really bothers me for some reason that I can pinpoint it.THEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2023 2:37 am I literally wasted a day at work today trying to pinpoint this song.
