Re: ayk "ascar"
I once posted an ayk car released in Japan only: it was a special build for some design school.
I think I posted it in the ebay section so it would be long gone now, sorry

Re: ayk "ascar"
I don't know the name of the car, but seems likely we're talking about the same one.
Do you have a picture; I should recognize it when I see it (though I've never seen the body for it)

oh boy, are you gonna resist building it? If you 're not going to build it I hope you can make some scans from the manual

Re: AYK "ascar"
You should contact the guy with the AYK museum site: I think he missed this one in his time-line.
I can't say I'm the biggest fan of this design but it sure is a true collectors item.
How did you get this; from yahoo auctions Japan? If my memory serves well this was never for sale in Japanese hobbyshops or any other place except for that school.

the design suck's for sure mate, but it's still super cool and i'd bet my left leg it's the only one in australia. i show a lot of my car's (big effort loading the car up) to fellow vintage fan's at our local track, bet they haven't seen this
only for sale to the school, wonder how many were made then! might be way rarer then my jealousey now that excites me
