Re: Romulus22's box art RC10GT
Was going to do this after it was welded but I get bored easily.
Header side
Engine side
After all it wouldn't be cool if it wasn't functional.

Your going all out on this building a prototype header! Why taper the port, AE never bothered! Just kidding, I matched all of mine.

Got the new rear hubs put on.
And changed out the front arms
I used shorter screws so they didn't punch through the front of the arm.

I can't believe I found them that fast, and NIP to boot...

The stock manifolds were straight but I ground all the Race Teams manifolds just like that.slotcarrod wrote:Your going all out on this building a prototype header! Why taper the port, AE never bothered! Just kidding, I matched all of mine.
Good job!

It's all in the details. Here's a couple more I found.
The box art tank has a barbed fitting.
So in one went
Here's the stock tank fitting.
I also noticed the throttle servo horn adapter. Possibly a pre production unit before it was beefed up where the brake rod goes. So I modified mine to match.

I noticed on the box art pic that the motor mount has no washers on the screws, but you have some installed.

I noticed that too, I pulled them after I posted those photos.
I have another error I noticed I need to fix too but I'm waiting for something in the mail to be able to fix it. I'm excited to share it with everyone once its here.

Re: Romulus22's box art RC10GT
Turns out there's another prototype part on the box truck. I looked at it numerous times thinking something looked different. Here it is.
Prototype tank
Altered kit tank
Factory kit tank, (note the extra material from the hinge support leading to the filler hole. And I just noticed the whole prototype tank is smooth. The kit tank has ribs under the spring and down the back under the pressure hose. I guess I'm not finished ) (also the white epoxy on the pipe pressure fitting, been meaning to do that for a while I just forget to grab it while I'm out)
