Dukomo YZ10

Post by DJGonzo69 »

I just scored an awesome piece. I used to run this back in the early 90's. I sold mine & I regret doing it. I was glad one of my on-road buddies had this in their garage, so I offered to buy it ff him. I'm going to do a Masami Replica prject. Here it is.....

Damn, look at that.

A Craig Drescher replica would be more fitting.

Awesome chassis set, and car- super period correct. Djgonzo69--- Gonzo cells by chance?

It fits 6 or 7 cells. Kit upgrades were made by JD Beckwith. Former Team Associated/Yokomo A-Team Driver.

Really nice car to have and in such a good shape! I personally would not do a Masami style from this because he never used this as far as I know. Dukemo was practically only used by US drivers and maybe Craig from UK. There should be some real race Dukemo pics in scan archive. Could You please send some pics about lower suspension arms? Do You know is this someone known drivers old car?

Those Losi X-pattern tires are also cool. Fronts without the X and rears modified to fit 2.2" wheels.

Never seen anything like this, completely kitted out. I think dual is one of a few now including yourself who has one of these. Amazing piece of history.

I would like to see some pictures of Craig Drescher's Dukomo.

I don't know about Graig's Dukemo pics, but J.D. Beckwith's Dukemo is in RRC 1993 worlds report, see: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=18803

Fantastic find..... I didn't notice the different wishbones to start with! I love the 'metalflake' effect material - its similar/same to what Brian Kinwald used for the parts on his RC10.... I also have a graphite Trinity shock tower for a Losi XX in a similar material.

Car looks to be in good condition.... should be a relatively simple resto/re-build?
