Certain RC Car Tires Outlawed in Races

Did I just dream this, or were certain tires outlawed in races back in the day? Could someone let me know which tire pattern it was or which tires? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Remember it's either a runner or a shelfer. Everything else is just parts.

Not patern per se, but the material. Certain foams were outlawed for offroad, and then Silicone capped tires were made illegal for most classes of racing. -Jeff

Like the title says, what is the best way to mount them? Using contact cement or using double sided tape?

I'm in the process of tracking down parts for my rc10 worlds car rebuild. I can find pretty much everything I need to replace or have a spare of from tower hobbies with the worlds car re release. The only thing I cannot find is rims and tires....

I have used a counter sink to allow the 1/4 axles to sit into a 3/16 rim. You want a small one, with a 1/4 OD.

You'll need to enlarge the pin slot in the rim with a dremel ball engraving bit.

Next, when you mount up you'll see the threaded 1'4...
