Concert tickets...just not right...
Concert tickets...just not right...
So, don't know if this should go here or the complaints section, but anyway. Tool announces a concert at a local casino for Jan., 2012.Tickets go on sale last Saturday at 10AM. I'm online AND on the phone at 10:02 looking for 4 tickets-any price, best available. None. Try 3,no. Try 2,no. Try 1, none available. Face value is either $49 or $69. None for me, oh well. Go online the next day and tickets can be found starting at $99ea. from various ticket outlets. Kicker of it all is one of the places I found had 700+ tickets available!! What a kick in the you know what. The average person can't even buy tickets because most(????) have have been snapped up by companies who purchase blocks and then re-sell for double value. Anyone else come across this?

Yep. The sad thing is these companys don't care if these seats don't get filled once they sell x% of tickets so they will sit empty because they won't open the seats back up at affordable prices once sales slack off. As long as they get their venture capital back plus a little for overhead its pretty much over for them.
I'm just glad I got that concert stuff outta my system when I was younger and most I paid for tickets were in the $30 range...now where are my tapered fit acid washed blue jeans with the holes in just the right places
