RC10LS Score
so last last week i scored a SNIB rc10ls kit off ebay. later that night, the seller sent me an email asking if i'd be interested in another new rc10ls kit, but it had been opened already and a couple pieces had been removed. nothing big, looks like it's just a t-bar and the tube of diff lube (i might find more as i go through it). but for the price i couldn't pass it up.
problem is, when he sent me a pic of the opened kit, i was bummed to see that the plastic parts were black. so now i'm worried that the sealed kit contains the same thing, and i'm not as gung-ho to open it up as i was before. the kits are still worth what i paid for them regardless. but i'm really hoping there's white parts in the sealed kit. fingers crossed.....

SO, you want to sell one?? I don't care if the parts are black. Once you've had black, you'll never go back!

Re: RC10LS Score
nah, they're not going anywhere. the sealed one i opened will be built as is. i just got done digging through my parts and i have about half of the white parts i'd need to replace the black ones in the kit. i'm gonna start to keep an eye out for the rest, and in time, i should be able to complete it with all white parts. so i'll have one of each.
either that, or i'll rob the parts i need from the opened kit and use them for a 10L replica build i've had in the works for a few years. mainly the chassis. did you ever see what the going rate is for a nip 10l chassis? i got an entire kit for less than that, and that's the part that has held the build up all these years.

Re: RC10LS Score
I don't know if they'll even fit but I have a package of "upper suspension arm mounts #8407" NIP in white if you want or need them. I always buy any white parts I ever come across them and I don't have any use for these. Send me your address if you do want them and I'll drop them in the mail to you.

Re: RC10LS Score
That's still an awesome score. I've been on a huge Pro10 kick lately!
I just bought an RC10L2.5 with a new PRC top pod plate (these are like hens teeth!) and a few NIP Protoform 905 bodies, which even though they were just recently discontinued, are also now like hens teeth it seems. I also ordered a couple of the Sauber Bodies from Andy which showed up a couple days ago, they are super nice!
I think I'm just going to build it as a 17.5 2S car, but that should still be plenty to run the same speeds as Mod TC's on practice days.

Re: RC10LS Score
i had never heard of a 10L2.5 until reggie said something about them the other day. i had to google it to see what it was.
well, here is what was the "sealed" kit. i still have to drill/countersink the chassis to mount the servo and button up the steering, but i need to come up with some new servos first. and like my lso, i swapped the gold shock body out for a team coated body.

Re: RC10LS Score
Looks great
I never understood why they didn't do factory countersinks? All or should I say most the early 12th chassis were that way also I know alot of people just 2-way taped them on with 3M car body molding adhesive.scr8p wrote:... i still have to drill/countersink the chassis to mount the servo and button up the steering...
