AWESOME! Erich told me on Sunday that he plans to have a Clod to race for next year too. What did you find? Is it your Zilla 3? That you said it was "on the way" makes me thing it's something else.Brandon G wrote:That would be a safe assumption, Scott! In fact, my Clod entry for next year is already on the way.MelvinsArmy wrote: I've got a feeling there will be another Clod or two next year.
All I gotta do now is find a way to get it transported to and from. I don't think they would let me carry that on the plane...
The Bigfoot handled the jumps incredibly well! He was able to fire straight through the rythym(less) section where others had to pick their way through. It needed a little more steering in one of the directions. It would cut a tight loop one way and a wide arc the other. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
As for transport, I'm planning to go again next year so you could always ship it to me and I could drive it up. Might be Saturday morning again though.

Sunday action pics.....
This is all of my pics! I wish I had a more diverse collection of classes, but between racing and turnmarshalling, I was pretty busy!

Hmmmmm, I dont sense an act of sabotage possibly happening to it before it gets to the track????MelvinsArmy wrote:AWESOME! No, it's not the Zilla 3. A little cooler than that.

Great action shots! Did anyone get any racing video? That's what I'd like to see. Also all this Clod talk has me making Clod action shots in my mind. Someone had to capture that. Anything to make my nipples hard??Brandon G wrote:Sunday action pics.....

Re: 2012 TAMIYA VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS • SEPT 15-18TH
Am I correct in assuming this track was created just for this meeting?
I am blown away by not just the cars put up at this years meeting but also the level of sponsorship. Tamiya USA truly did kick in some awesome stuff amongst the other sponsors. I only wish that sponsors like Tamiya would get onboard here in Australia and offer up vintage rere kits to help spread the 'vintage love'. Getting a pit tower or wrench set is cool but receiving a rere car kit would be the best!!!
Also seeing these early RC10 cars out on the track sporting the narrow arms and original diameter rims and tyres has give me a little inspiration to build one myself. There needs to be points awarded to drivers that go fully old skool I reckon
Great outcome for all the hard work that went into this years epic event.

Without disrespect for the other builders and cars; is it possible to get some details about nr69 and nr5 (black yokomo in the back)?

Absolutely not Brandon! I WANT another Clod out there to compete against. Heck, if I saw something off with it, I'd probably fix it. Can't wait till next year. Imagine 4 Clods going at it, if that happened we might have to have a Clod Nationals in 2014. I feel bad for the Blackfoot or Lunchbox who happens to find himself a car length in front of two Clods racing side by side for the lead.
