Clear your cache and cookies, then log back on and see if the problem persists. If it does, do you have this same problem elsewhere? Maybe it's time to update your browser or at the very least check your preferences to make sure nothing has changed.

I cleared the cache and cookies before posting thinking that was the problem but its still the same. This is the only site I'm having a problem with! I never had a problem until we switched to the new site and yes thanks for the help Hoopty 8)

Bummer! That usually works. Have you checked your browser settings and/or updated your browser lately? You might even try a different browser to see if that cures the problem. If it does, then you know where to focus your attention.

Mine does the same thing with FireFox. I've gotten use to it. I am not going back to IE.

That's interesting, Tad, because I use FF too and don't have those issues, never have. You probably have a setting set to not remember something or exclude something.

Try checking Tools-Options-Privacy and see if you have "accept cookies" checked, also make sure that this site isn't accidentally in the "exceptions" folder.

You may also want to update FF with the latest version and add-ons.

Yep. done all that several times. It will get to a point where I can't even reply to a post. When ever I click submit, it asks me for my name ans pass, even though I have set firefox and the board to remember it, then it takes me back to the reply box, but all I typed is gone.

No biggie. I just get a little frustrated sometimes and don't reply when I would like to. I think it has something to do with our group policies. I do not have administrative rights on this computer, not even power user. We use group policies pushed down from the Novell server to limit what can and can't be done.

My guess is it has something to do with that.

You're probably right. Some of the guys have had problems with firewalls and such at work that don't allow them to visit or post on Clodtalk. One of our members had to quit coming around because his home ISP wouldn't let him on. He worked with Bill trying to get on and it never happened, unfortunately.

Tell the IT guys to get their poop together and get it fixed!

I don't want to upset them. They will be having a job opening in the next couple weeks and if all goes well, I'll be back on the PC side of the college. I was a temp before and took this job in a different department because it was a full time state job. It is easier to transfer to IT here than to come in fresh off the streets.
