Actually, I pretty much hate everything these days. I guess I'm just getting old... "get off my lawn!".
So what you're saying is, you're vintage..?

I am going to post a rant thread about people who rant without checking previously posted rants. Or not, as someone may have posted it already.

I'd say T4's are vintage at this point given the SAE hardware if nothing else. Original RC10's JRX2's etc. those are antique. If our European folks chime in I like how they divide their bigger vintage races by year rather than traditional motor.

For a fun event it makes more sense than saying an original goldtub runs with a XXX just because they both run the same motor. Both vintage but entirely different design and performance eras.

If I keep going this post will be antique, so I'll go back to the rant thread now.

It seems most don't except or agree the T4 as vintage yet, due to the series' ridiculously long production run, 2003 - 2017. Even though the first examples are now 19 years old. I can't say I disagree.

Yeah, people feel that way. To me the production length is sort of irrelevant. The basic bones of the T4 were designed in 2000 or so. Yes it was tweaked but regardless. Is a Tamiya made today that is no different than when it was made in 1987 Vintage? I'd say so. What about a rere RC10? It's only 7 years old or so then? Lot's of the late 90's early 2000's cars ran basically until mid engine took over. Fact is today they are a 20 year old plus design.

For people that say no, you are wrong and I will not listen anyways, oh wait this isn't FB. I guess I'll listen. :D

Never raced, only treated with latex gloves in a completely sterile environment (in my derelict shed next to the barrel full of body parts soaking in paint remover).

The B4/T4 is an interesting case in which arguments could be made for both. The early cars were designed with brushed motors and NiMh, and the later cars were tweaked for brushless and lipo. Compared to modern mid motor cars the B4/T4 could be considered vintage. Is it fair to race a B4/T4 against an RC10/T? Probably not.

Some clubs do allow B4/T4 to be run in vintage but they are scored as a seperate class.
