HI!... Well i bought this one off Ebay and i picked it up on Saturday. Built the car the same day including the paint. I still have to paint the driver and install window netting. I accidentally stepped on the driver so i ordered 3 more. Just waiting for them to arrive. Anyway here's my build :

My gold pan was in great shape, no real issues with it and the anodizing all matched.
What disturbs me about your car is how it is crimped at the rear...I can't believe that came like that...I would take a picture of that and get in touch with Associated and see if they would give me another chassis....It is disturbing to see that some peoples kits are fine and others have issues like this...They need to know about the lack of quality control...

REM, have you seen one without the slight upturn in the rear? I've had 3 cars in hand, all are the same. Seen other pics as well, seems that is the way they are manufactured.
It is a touch more than the original/vintage chassis, but nothing that harms the car what-so-ever.

Look at your last picture...The one that just shows the rear of the chassis...It looks like the screw will not be able to sit flush with the chassis...Or is it just my eyes ???? Here is a picture of one of my beater chassis with the screws dropped in to the holes...The heads sit flush with the chassis...Yours looks a little extra crimped in that area around the screw hole...

All of my chassis have a slight crimp and roll..That one looks bad...It goes into the screw hole...It might just be my OCD getting the best of me...

Hopefully it does not affect the way it handles especially if you are going to run it...I just saw that and the came out...Here is project junkyard dog...A straight chassis that will have a re re nose and motor plate...slight crimp and roll but not a bow that goes into the screw head...Maybe I should just breath and count to ten
