Has anyone ordered spares?

Post by RichieRich »

I put in a big order for spare parts @ Tower. I know some of you have placed orders elsewhere...maybe directly from AE? Have any of you received any of your parts?

I ordered a crapload of re-re parts last month from Tower. I'm still waiting on the World's steering, CVA's and 2.2" wheels that are on backorder.

All of my ballcups have more of a bluish tint than the greenish tint that others have mentioned.

Wanna trade for some green ones?

The part that pisses me off is that if they LOOK Like they glow in the dark....they SHOULD!

I buy from amain too but I wasn't finding gear covers or the ball bearing steering listed to even put on back order.

I'm guessing everyone is buying extra parts like crazy. I placed an order with tower on 10/23 and I got the last bits on 12/6. And, I just realized I need another steering kit...bah! AND, I just went through dying a batch of parts! ARGHH!!!

I've had a black nose plate and motor mount on order for over a month from tower. The in stock status keeps getting pushed back every time I check. :x

I bought a bunch of stuff from Tower, front and rear arms, steering, hub carriers, some diff parts and front/rear rims and tires. Also got a set of the 'green' ball cups. Everything came on time

Just placed an order last night directly from AE, all the things were listed as "in stock", so we'll see how long it takes...

Black nose plate (6309) shows out of stock even on Associated's page. So the holdup is not with Tower Hobbies.

I've never ordered parts directly from AE, how are their prices compared to Tower or other Hobby Shops?
