With a DUKW in the background, a member of the U.S. Navy's 2nd Beach Battalion tinkers with a captured German Goliath tracked mine, or "beetle," on Utah Beach on June 11, 1944. The Goliath was a radio controlled mini tank that let the user remain under cover while sending explosives into enemy lines to detonate them. Not RC related, but interesting none-the-less, did you know that there were submarines in the civil war? They were small, man-powered vehicles, used similarly, to plant explosives onto the bottom of boats.
These are rare Tyco/Taiyo 4wd racing nissan trucks that came out before the Tyco Bandit. It was released in 1988 and discontinued that same year. The Taiyo version is even rarer than the Tyco version. Both have the duel motor, which provided the 4wd...
