**RC10Talk.com Build of the Year**
So I had an idea this morning..... and I like it.
Here's what is going to happen. We will hold the contests every month. The winners from January through November will face off in December and a poll will be done to decide the "Build of the Year".
The winner's vehicle will grace the top of the forum for the month of January, and they will also be awarded an engraved trophy or plaque.
I don't think we will start that this year though since there would only be like 4 vehicles. But i know there are other guys (like me ) that take years to build stuff. So it may give them a little more incentive to get things finished.

Re: **Contest Questions/Comments**
I think it's a great idea!
I've been on other forums where buildoffs don't work out, but I feel like you have the right community for it, here.
I wouldn't really be able to join, as I don't have anything to build, and probably won't at any sort of convenient time, but I would LOVE to look through all the stuff! Buildoffs usually bring out the best in people, and with some of you guys here, that's going to be totally blow-your-socks-off nuts!
I already love just looking through the pictures on the "POS-fest" that you put up haha
EDIT: ha, I could always post up my progress with my "road to the Vonats Thundershot TRF-special" haha, you know, give the competition a lower-tier base...
I'm still not done :p

Re: **Contest Questions/Comments**
it's not really a monthly "build-off". i called it the "build" of the month mainly because i didn't want to use "ride" since you don't ride them, and didn't want to use "car" since trucks are allowed. "build of the month" seems to fit better. it doesn't matter if it was built it yesterday or 30 years ago, it's eligible.UserUnrelated wrote:I think it's a great idea!

At least I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous to call our RC cars "rides"!

Great idea ! The re re thing is getting a bit boring around here . The term " gold tub " bothers me more than " rides " .

Can we agree on "whips" lmao!Coelacanth wrote:At least I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous to call our RC cars "rides"!
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: **Contest Questions/Comments**
You could just call it picture of the month contest and not have, "car", "whips", "'ride", or "truck".

Re: **Contest Questions/Comments**
So something we are currently building? Cause I could get off my butt and start working on one. Would an RC10 conversion count or have to be a buggy/truck/pan car?

Re: **Contest Questions/Comments**
Hi everyone, I have some Rc10 Oval conversions, where will they go?
If it is based on a RC10 buggy chassis will it go in with the buggys?
If based on a RC10 Truck chassis will it go in with the trucks?
Can you start a Oval section or will I be left out?
Cheers, Dave.
