First RC10 in 25 Years
Well it's been a long time since I bought my original RC10 back in the late 80's. My original car is long gone, but the desire to own another hit me recently. This is what I ended up with. I plan on making a few changes to it and I'll document it all here as I go. This website has a ton of info!

Looks like a good start, welcome back! Be careful, these things tend to multiply!

You were right.... barely into this project and I think I have enough parts to build 3 cars, lol....slotcarrod wrote:Looks like a good start, welcome back! Be careful, these things tend to multiply!

Re: First RC10 in 25 Years
I picked up a parts car and decided to use the tub for this build so I can use and abuse it without the worry of messin up the nice clean tub on my car. This parts car tub has been drilled out by the previous owner, but doesn't look too bad. I had to do some straightening and tweaking, and I also drilled it for a Stealth Transmission using a black "B" chassis as a template. Turned out alright I think.

Re: First RC10 in 25 Years
I also picked up a bunch of white parts for this car cuz I just wasn't feelin the black suspension. I picked up the black tub to build an all black car for my kid (I'll do another build thread on that one). I'll be sticking with the gold and white for myself.
I'm attempting to whiten these with peroxide and UV grow lights.... we will see...
This was after a good scrubbing with CLR

Soaking in Peroxide

Looking good. What a great idea with the peroxide and uv light it seems to really work well.
