Minisforever's 91 masami build

Post by Minisforever »

Thanks to Niki and Jake alot of us can now build our dream car, the 91 stealth! Thanks for all your hours. I hope seeing these builds and the excitement they bring, show how much we appreciate your time and efforts. Anyways my first build is going to be Masami's 91 stealth. My plan is to paint and build carbon chassis on my own. Also going to run it at the location of the Detroit worlds. Tracks long gone but the dirt is still there. Here's my start. Dyed parts with tea. Original arm to show color.

Nice, who modified your hub for you? You are the first person I have seen with the lightened hub besides my own build. I had to mill mine own for my build.

Cut it myself. I was going to use mill but original looked a lil more hand cut. So, I went that route. Thanks Jake. You set the bar high, if mines half as nice I will be happy. The g10 I ordered came in a non transparent cream color. Not sure if it's the fire proofing or what!? So hopefully I can find old stock g10 somewhere. It's a jumbo mess but this is where I'm at

Wow, love the wheels. Looks like you shaved down the sidewall just like Masami did. What type of insert did you use to mate the 835 rims with the TR-32 tires? Must have taken a while to drill all of those holes.

Hey good eye jbmeyer. I Found a set of ZC-825 and the tr-32 tires mounted up perfect fit. I think they are both 2.15? Drilling the hole was pretty tedious , but I find building and tinkering is very relaxing for me.

Was the tire bead not flush with the out side of the wheel? Nice drill job for sure!

Not much of an update but hinge pins in and I faded the aluminum nuts using my UV bulb.

Been working on the non-glorious work lately. Making some molds and figuring out template dimensions. Im also attempting to build a pin router.(inspired by Mach v's thread) but I thought I should post up some kind of update of my stealth car...small progress :D Making the top plate and template. More pics soon.
