Thanks for posting this Paul. Nice how the review and the pictured car have not a lot to do with each other... In today's world you would never see a car pictured with another magazine's name on it!
I was thinking the same thing. I saw that picture of Frank Killam's car and was like "Whoa, this is gonna be a hardcore on-road article!" Ofcourse, you have to know who he is first, but still a cool retro write-up

Here's the a review of the RC10 from the very first issue of Radio Control Car Action Magazine in 1986. I remember reading this article for the first time when I was a kid. I saved up money for a year and finally bought the RC10 kit in 1987 I think.

I have used the Traxxas #2543 bell cranks for a few builds so far and I like them a lot. I bought a couple thin walled 3/16 od tubes and cut it to length. You can use left over bushings or bearings.
