A non-political statement...

Post by R Cane »

On behalf of the sane portion of the general public of the United States, I'd like to go ahead and offer an apology in advance to the rest of the world for all the idiotic future things that will be done by whichever of these dingbats that happens to win tonight...

Hey...I'm not looking to debate, not trying to push my agenda for either candidate...just stating the obvious - it ain't gonna be pretty.

It's like watching a slow moving train wreck. I can't switch channels. Just made another pot of coffee. Waiting for the looting

Are there any hobby shops left to loot?

Same scenario as with populists in Europe: when polls indicate no win, they actually win. :|

I'm not that worried about him policy wise. He's not going to start bombing other countries...that's exactly why we have Checks and Balances. Congress won't let him do that crap. Where he's going to screw us is with the asinine things he's going to say to other world leaders. Who's going to want to deal with him?
I can't fathom how he got this far in the process, it makes no sense.
You're right, Jeff...it's going to get interesting.

Lets just hope that with the house and senate both controlled by republicans they can at least get something done.

I was rooting for Trump because I felt he was the lesser of the two evils. It will be interesting to see what he actually gets accomplished but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't all that much. At 70 years old, he's the oldest elected president in the history of America which doesn't bode well for having a second term. That's compounded with how stressful the job is in general. Also not being a politician will be a hindrance as he doesn't know too much about the job he just got hired for.

Time will tell.
