I recently made a decent size trade of HO slotcars for TA RC cars and parts and thought I would put some pictures of some of the cars on line that were in the collection...
the slot in the chassis was nesscesary, although it didn't need to be notched out to the end of the chassis, imo. the four holes arond the 2 rear trans screws are for the 6 gear trans. those are factory. the 2 holes in the rear are for the robinson setup.
you could do both really...robinson racing made them.. i ran them for a while but the robinson plastic was pretty "brittle", i remember breaking a few of them.. easier to use the more forgiving associated plastic and changing them around

An easy way to tell if they are the cr version or not is view the rear end from the bottom. If they are the cr version, the arm mounts bolt onto the rear T plate. If they are the original verisons, the arms mounts are part of the T plate.

I was supriced when I saw in what condition the car was when I got it.
Very few scratches in the bottom of the chassis.
The trans is in superb condition but the stock bearring most go of and in goes the ballbearrings.
I gave 50euros (aprox 65usd)...

I started to collect cars from the very early -90 so I have had lots of cars but some of them have I sold away. as the best times I think I had over 150 cars, now maybe 50-60 cars.
