Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
I have been meaning to post these updated pictures. I still have one more big change to make to this truck before I can call her complete. I keep putting it off, but hopefully not much longer.

Bringing this back up, gotta ask…….
What was the big change you planned on doing ?

Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
Hey Cru ! Go balls out

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
I have some vintage black MIP shocks for the truck. I am just waiting to get them refinished. Once they go on, the stealth look should be complete. ThanksMarkyDents wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 2:44 pm Bringing this back up, gotta ask…….

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
I finally tracked down a set of new vintage all black shocks for this truck. I was originally looking for some black MIP shock bodies, but found the beautiful Yokomo shocks. They are quite similar, but a bit more detail to them.
I mounted them on the truck, however I am not loving how they look as much as I had hoped. Maybe it's too much black. I love black, but it does make a lot of cool details hard to see. Thoughts?
I still need to add rear spring retainers, and then get some updated indoor/outdoor pictures with the body.

Maybe some silver springs would help tie it all together a bit more

Awesome truck either way, but I like the military green look better. The black shocks seem to disappear amid a sea of black whereas the green remain visible but in a very stealthy way. Since I have the artistic talent of a grapefruit, you were probably right to swap them

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
Thanks for your help. I am kinda thinking the same thing. I may try different spring colors, or may end up going back to the original shocks. I spent so long looking for black shocks for this truck, and now I don't know if I like them! Typical.1911Colt wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 2:40 pm "How much more black could it be? The answer is none. You could always just send it to me if you not happy, it’s a thing of beauty but I think you’re right it needs something to tie the Ali details to the carbon a bit more…. I still say silver springs will do it

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
I would also wote for the green shocks. The black shocks are nice, but I think you're losing more of the identiy of the car. Also, all of a sudden the entire setup turned very modern with the black ones.
Green looks fantastic, stealthy and strengthen the vintage AE identity.
