You've likely blown 1 or 2 of the 6 drive channels.
Does it still work in Brushed configuration?
Be careful about using it though... sometimes the blown FET is stuck 'on' and conducts, which heats up the heatsink even if ESC seems to work ok.
No idea if anybody fixes them anymore. Could be possible to unsolder & replace FETs but short of having another junk GTB to harvest good parts off, dunno where to source spare chips.

Yah bud I just tossed it in the spare parts bin, looks like the bottom row of chips burnt to a crisp. Was still working but it had real bad cogging and stinks baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

If you can take a really clear picture of the bad row and the good rows, we can see if replacement parts are available. I just fixed an associated esc by replacing all the fets.

I've done this before. Crazy enough, my new ESC had the Tamiya battery plug polarity reversed.

Never even occurred to me to check that. I tried to contain the magic smoke for re-installation later, but no luck.
That looks like a very tricky and tedious job to replace the burnt components. Good luck!

Yup the genie (smoke) definitely escaped the esc and she smelled really bad lol.

it's not terrible with the right tools. However, I'm not having much luck trying to find an equivalent mosfet based on those numbers. the symbol roughly centered on the left, is that an 'S' or 'R' or something else? ST is a possibility.
