Truly "universal" drive shafts

I have something similar in my spare part collection, only that the dog bone part in screwed in directly ext to the joint. The other side ends in a metric axle.

I will post a pic later.

Wouldn't this pretty much solve all of the CVD / CVA problems with the WOIN builds with Klein / RPM wide arms?

I like my version better, but still a bit off the usual path.

Those are CRP driveshafts for the Scorpion. Would kind of be a waste to use them on a WOIN RC10.

I always wondered what these are for. I got them YEARS ago with a lot off ebay.

I am planing on a custom build WOIN / Quadra ish.

I have no knowledge whatsoever on kyosho stuff.

Once I start that Project , I might try to use AE parts when things are sorted out.

I believe your best bet is to use original shaft an the cut the ball and joint off and use this top part.

I am lucky enough to also have some kyosho style hex adapters, I have never used this kind, they are conical and lock by being wedged onto the shaft. I am wondering if they are going to be up to the higher torque of the modern brushless motors.

Has anyone on the forum here tried this or any other universal from AliExpress yet? It would definitely mean going metric on the rear hubs, unless you just use that top part.

Somehow I have the feeling it hasn't been done yet.
