Oh my, what an amazing RC! They've included so many scale details. I wasn't aware such a car even existed.
Is the front anti-roll bar system adjustable?
It looks like the chassis is drilled for a dual motor setup.
Are you planning to run the car?
I want one!!!

Re: 1:8 Kyosho 4246 Williams Renault FW14 EP
I’ve been wanting one of these since the nineties whether it was electric or nitro. Got this one that’s barely been driven at a fair price.
Front anti-roll is not adjustable. It’s just a U-shaped bar, but the ride hight is. It’s adjustable (individually) by the two socket head screws just under the cantilevers. Yep dual Mega Outlaw 22x1 setup is possible, but I wonder if you can squeeze out five minutes of racing with one 1700mAh battery
That thing with driving rc cars is something that I next to never manage to do... would be cool to test it on a track just once though..

Yeah, it seems unlikely it would go 5 minutes with two motors - but it might be twice the fun.
Anyway, I'm looking at these on ebay right now. Apparently they made them in 1/10 scale as well - no cantilever shocks or independent suspension however so I'll just pass on them.
If it were mine, I couldn't resist getting it out on a nice large vacant parking lot somewhere - at least once.

That is a really cool piece of machinery. I like that front Shock setup. With a single modern brushless motor that car would really fly.

Greeaaat, ANOTHER thing I need!
That thing is frickin' SICK! I would put a hot brushless motor on there and a mega battery, but that's just me. An original restoration I can also appreciate.

There also are 1/18 versions, which do have independent suspension.XLR8 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 10:28 pm Yeah, it seems unlikely it would go 5 minutes with two motors - but it might be twice the fun.

They did have 1/10 scale. There were both the simple F1 pan cars you probably saw and a series of realistic F1/Indy car/GTP cars. They had great detail in the suspension.

If your looking for 1/10 scale I personally would go for the Tamiya F201 a 4wd F1 with the CF hop up chassis kit from 3Racing (TF201C-001.... If you can find one )XLR8 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 10:28 pm Yeah, it seems unlikely it would go 5 minutes with two motors - but it might be twice the fun.

Re: 1:8 Kyosho 4246 Williams Renault FW14 EP
and if you dont care about vintage, 3racing has a killer little 1/10 F1 kit called the FGX 2018. For around $120 shipped it has fully independent suspension and is a really decent build! I have one

This is a sick build of a FGX-EVO2018. Don't know what hardbody that is though.

Wow, so many options - and I had no idea these cars even existed. Well, that's why I'm here.
That EVO2018 is nothing short of incredible!! Definitely blurs the line between a static replica and an RC.

That looks amazing ! So much detail but 4x4 ? Do you dare drive it ?
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
