Re: Kyosho Turbo Optima Re-Re Tires
Sorry to keep dragging this out... I'm just really coming up empty here; 4 street tires that'll fit on standard Optima rims & are actually available in the US without a 6 month wait ... anyone ?

Re: Kyosho Turbo Optima Re-Re Tires
What wheel size are you trying to fit? 1.9" ?
These are a stretch to fit 2.2" wheels (which they do), so they might be able to also fit Turbo Optima wheels.
Schumacher U6709 front tires with U6652 foam inserts
Schumacher U6710 rear tires with U6653 foam inserts
This is them mounted on 2.2 Schumacher 12mm wheels.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Optima Re-Re Tires
Hi, sorry, I should have reported back. it turned out great...the wheels are spot on and give a much wider range of tyre options so I'm using them regularly and they're holding up well. Having said that...the Kyosho block tyres are much better on a wide range of surfaces (I have a variety of compounds) than I ever anticipated and I'm using them a lot!
It's worth getting a set of the JC Racing wheels so you can chuck some 2.2 inch tyres at them if you need to.
PS - Forgot to say I'm using Schumacher spiked tyres on my JC Racing wheels because they suited some of the surfaces I'm running on.
Cheers!

Re: Kyosho Turbo Optima Re-Re Tires
I still haven't solved this problem...perhaps in part because after shelling out nearly $200 for 2 sets of tires for my 1/5 Kraton 8S, my "R/C tire budget" was maxxed out for a while I'm still on the hunt for a blacktop tire solution for my Turbo Optima... Why these are so hard to find with the large lineup of Kyosho 4WDs is still baffling to me and why none of these online retailers have tires showing up as 'related items' on product detail pages for rims, but I digress...
When you have a moment, if you'd be so kind as to just confirm these are the JC Racing wheels we're talking about?
Thanks!
PS> That T-1X avatar brought back some memories! That thing was a beast ...I remember the endless (and completely irrelevant in our 1/10 buggies) speed control arguments after leaving wiper-based manual units behind - the size/weight/resistance/cost of the T-1X vs. T-1 vs. T-4 ... made me sad when Novak bit the dust
