2.2 Wheels for Ultima Pro

Post by Anoyher »

I know I’m 20 years behind, but I am struggling on finding wheels to update my Kyosho Pro. I would like to keep the original chassis and axles, are there any 1 for 1 replacements for the 1.9 wheels so I can run UM754 and Um755’s?

Turbo scorpion wheels would probably be the easiest matching set to run. SCH006 rears and SCH005 fronts. These are 2.2 and the offset should be correct. These turbo wheels use a 12mm drive, where the standard scorpion wheels use a serrated washer so stay away from them.

Jeff's right. Not only are those wheels a direct fit, but I think they look great on an Ultima Pro.
The style seems to go well with those angular body lines and graphics.

Hi
May be some use, i found the "pepper pot" style kyosho reproduction wheels in the UK
https://www.jcracingproducts.co.uk/kyosho-optima
They look the same pattern as 1.9" wheels of the era, but accomodate the 2.2" tyres available now.
Got some for my rocky and laser projects,
Good luck.
