Yep, I'd say that whole set up qualifies as stupid rare. Ancient threaded shocks? Very, very cool. Where did you find something that sweet? I was wondering if they were RC500 shocks too, but did they make those threaded?

If any of my old esc ever die can I still send them back to be fixed...Obviously there will be no warranty...Just wondering if they will still work on the old stuff ???

A lot of companies will just offer you a discount on a new replacement, now the ESCs are all built by machine it's cheaper to replace it with new than actually repair an old one.

Whenever I go to Texas, I find several like that on I-10, empty highway, middle-of-nowhere, who drive 2 MPH below the limit. I go past at 5 MPH over, and they latch onto my rear quarter (in my blind spot) and hang. Next thing I know, I'm doing 95...
Just got this gem in the mail today. Popped off the wiring cover and discovered this:
And we've been wasting money on speed controls. You could have just hooked the motor straight to the receiver like this!
Can't imagine this worked too well......

Ummm.....no you can't do that! The white wire is a pulse. Black and red are power and ground. You don't have anything there to control power with. The esc is not just an amplifier, it processes the signal.
