Re: Really sad news....
WOW! So sad
I’m not around as much as I use to be.
But I still get on and see what all you folks are doing.
And I always was impressed with his builds and how he always had those awesome metal rims!

Sad to read this. I never really interacted with shodog, but liked his builds. Rest in peace.

RIP shodog and my condolences to the family. You chat with, view posts, and become virtual friends with many members of a forum that you never actually meet. It's terrible news to lose one of our own. That Rough Rider avatar will forever be burned into my memory.

Re: Really sad news....
I have been very sick the past few weeks with the "rona" so just now getting caught back up on the posts here finally. This is just absolutely terrible news to hear. While I did not know Jim personally, I certainly knew him as one of the regulars here. Extremely sad news. My prayers and thoughts go out to his son and his family.

Re: Really sad news....
It was Shodog who told me about this site some years ago while helping me out (with a Kyosho) on the Tamiyaclub site so I’d like to add my condolences on here now too.
RIP Jim, you are a legend.

Re: Really sad news....
I’m in shock hearing this and imagining how devastating this must be for Jim’s family. My thoughts and prayers are with Jim’s son and family.
Jim was truly an icon on this site. Back in ‘07 when I joined, I remember seeing his builds as “untouchable” on the highest level of detail.
Because of Jim, I considered… at one point, driving up the coast to every hobby shop in the Bay area to find the source where Jim found all of his Technacraft wheels. I’m sure that would have been futile. I at least had the pleasure of purchasing a few of his unwanted parts a few years back.
Jim will truly be missed here.
Godspeed Jim!
