Need either wheels or bearings for RC10L2

In a recent trade I obtained what use to be a RC10L2 however it has a wider custom chassis plate, a custom made Kaydex rear brace and in-line front axles. The front axle part number is 8443. I had a set of 10L wheels in my parts stash but they have the smaller flanged bearings in them. My question is, what bearings do a replaced the old ones with and if I can’t what wheels do I get that will accommodate bearings for the 8443 axles?

8443 are 3/16 axles
10L wheels are made for a 5/16 flanged bearing
Thus you need a 3/16 x 5/16 flanged bearing (same as the RC10 used)

Original axles were 1/8”

What size bearings do I need to run CVDs please?

Also I have had a search around the forums and it seems that the duratrax wheels are the only 2.2 available now is this correct?

The CVD axles from the RC10GT will fit any wheels that use 3/16 x3/8 bearings. I'll be doing this when I get around to rebuilding my buggy, in order to run Dirt Hawgs. The other option is to get some dogbones to work with the spare 3/16 axles I...

someone posted a link to a bearing supplier for the front wheels. They were cheap as heck.. $1 each.. Was it hoopty?? Can ya repost it? I can't find the thread:( Thanks

isn't it 3/16 x 3/8th??? I hope so cause I just bought a bunch:)

just as a heads up, the bearings in that link aren't for front wheels at all. those are the ones to use if your gonna convert your rear axles to 3/16 , using a standard rc10 buggy...

So everyone said these would fit. Just got them in the mail..

The rears fit, but there is no way in the world the fronts fit. All my bearings are too big on the outside diameter. I thought these were a direct fit the the RC10.. I thought that was...

If you guy hadn't noticed yet, my shtick is building associated pan cars from scratch. I know I've probably pay'd 10 times the original price for a kit, but its my therapy.

Correct, I've had the same problem with some of the newer bodies. The newer pan cars run the damper tubes instead of the old school shocks, they usually mount underneath the top plate, with my design it will work either way.

I almost painted my current 10L with that Shell scheme, but went for a Gulf Racing theme in the end.
the Gulf theme is cool I did that on my composite craft 12L and love the car.

I've been hunting for one of these for a while and finally got my grubby hands on one! :twisted:

The RC10L2.5 was the 235mm on road car that associated never built. Most of the 2.5's that were out there were L2's fitted with an L3 touring rear pod...
