Been awhile - what's new?

Post by RC104ever »

Hey all, it's been a couple of years since I was active on this forum and I started poking around on the AE website, Castle, Fly Sky among others. Have all my stuff still sitting in boxes, haven't used any of it for a couple years as well. Just got tired of always trying to fix the cars and make them work right. But I think the time is right to maybe start up again.

My question is - what's new and exciting at the moment? Last cars I read about were the B6 or B7 I think. I see lots of new stuff on the AE site. I still have my B5M, plus B44, gold pans and my T4, as well as a couple RC10T chassis' that I never finished.

Got a lot of stuff, some still new in box like a Tamiya Golf kit I haven't opened. Have a Hot Shot I finished but haven't ever run yet.

Welcome back.

I am not sure that much changed since 2017. There was a resurgence of the hobby driven by covid, hence me being here. Prices are higher than feels right to old timers.

The b6.4 is about to drop, so 13mm shocks are going to be a thing for 10th scale buggies.

There have been some notable new product launches for vintage parts,
Jconcepts
wheels, nose plates, steering racks,
avid
top shafts
kid again
slipper pads

Some parts, like diff gears, diff plates have been discontinued.

The b5 is starting to hit the point where its going down in price, but parts aren't hard to find, yet.
