I wanted to start a thread for Tamiya Egress enthusiasts. This is easily my favorite buggy of all time from Tamiya. Whoever designed this mean-looking buggy hit a homerun. It looks so fast and awesome right out of the box.
This is my all-out 2022 rendition of the Tamiya Egress. The original 1989 is a classic. I used a reissue Egress as a base. I prefer the front suspension stance of the 1989 and took the A4 suspension part from an 89 and installed it on the reissue model. I also removed the golden front upgrights with the grey vintage cast uprights. The upright should have been silver or grey in color to begin with IMO. I upgraded my Egress with all the available aluminum option parts from G-Force in Japan. They are pricey but clean and sharp. All the electronics are from the vintage time period including the EX racing battery. I upgraded the ball cups for fit and color matching. Finally, the body was painted a little brighter and more sparkling with clear windows. Share your Egress photos or anything Egress related here!

Re: Ultimate Tamiya Egress Thread
I’ve not been here much lately, but thought I’d share my latest build. It’s a 2013 released kit, that I sourced some reproduction BF8/9 parts, and blue rod ends to replicate the original release. Other than these, and blue wheel nuts , the rest is built pretty standard.

Re: Ultimate Tamiya Egress Thread
Looks stunning! I've got one in the stash to build. I've sourced some blue turnbuckles but having no luck with the metal shock brackets. Does anyone make reproduction parts?
