I have basically bought an XLS but not it’s suspension😜also wanted pro trans and carbon so by the time I bought an overpriced re re on flee bay and added all the extras it would have been a heck of a lot dearer. Keep watching and you’ll see the extras

I like the way you operate! :D Buy a ProCAT to turn into an XLS, buy everything to turn it into an XLS, then just build the XLS from parts, so you still have the ProCAT. Brilliant!

I am a screw kit away from having another re-re Top Cat from NIP parts. I found one but they wanted $33 to ship it from Michigan (I am in Indiana) :x so I cancelled on principal.

Are they? Hmmmm. 8) My XLS re-re with Pro trans and alloy bits might be worth a few coins, then. My Bosscat is almost done, just need to install the electronics. Perhaps I don't need both.

So into the build we go

Started off with the new chassis from fibrelyte, is a modded version of their XLS saddle chassis with the saddle cutouts deleted and holes for the masami saddle setup drilled, and has 3 different locations available for weight distribution changes.

This chassis is also set up for the original release procat xls rear gearbox inner housing holes not the re re.

I managed to find the alloy inner gearbox housing a few years ago new and unused and am using the re re alloy bearing eccentric’s as well.

Stage 2 top plate and steering setup. Unfortunately I still haven’t got a ball raced steering setup yet but will have 1 on it some day😬

Which center track rod did you use? I don't have all of the bits to compare, but the carbon CTR Schumacher released for the Masami is said to be the "wrong" width. Apparently Masami's car had the original narrow CTR since the car was basically a prototype, so that is what the Masami re-re got. The C/F upgrade for the Masami re-re is dimensionally the same just a different material. The actual production XLS had a wider CTR.

I have verified that the Bosscat CTR is wider than the standard Masami re-re CTR.

Your exactly right the masami does have the narrow CTRand uses 52 mm turnbuckles, I have got the wide CTR and will be using 45mm turnbuckles.

The CTR I’m using is fibrelyte’s bosscat version.

I’ve gone with the pro transmission and alloy front gearbox as this is going to get run. Haven’t taken any of the build shots of the trans but here the installed product
