So, what did you do RC today?

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

Started to organize my hobby room to make more room. Getting rid of the treadmill as that should offer space for another 20 or so kits!

Today, beside painting few Super Wheelie bodies, I admired my son at work... Each time his paintjobs are getting nicer and sharper. I'm a very proud dad :-)

Printed a new replacement nylon light bar for the Super Clod roll bar and also some gear covers. The gear covers still need come cleanup.

Started experimenting with chrome nail powder as a possibility for chrome plating plastic. Of course, the YT videos always create better results, but I feel like I may be able to make something work. I do know now that I need a black base, so I have black spoons on order so I don't have to keep painting white ones. :D

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Finished a RC10 T4.1 FT, except for body as usual. This one was in pretty rough shape and rusty when I bought it. It wasn't complete and the bottom of the chassis, rear plate and motor guard were scratched to kingdom come. I sanded a lot of the scratches out and decided to paint the chassis, front top plate, rear chassis plate and motor guard semi-gloss black. Left some of the scratches to show some of its history in other words.

Fitted it with all new hardware, turnbuckles, RPM bumper, red aluminum front hinge pin brace, wheels, Pro-line Blade front & JConcepts Pin Downs rear tires, 84T spur and 21T pinion. Electronics consist of Savox servo, Futaba R603GF 2.4Ghz receiver, LRP SXX Stock Spec V2 ESC and Novak SS 21.5 brushless motor.
And have an original NIP JConcepts Hi Flow body to go on.

My son figured out that the tall soft wall crawler tires that are (were  ) great for taller grass don't hold up to 10T brushless rolling burnouts.

Duct tape the inside of the drive tires (new pair of course) and try again. 😉

If he wants taller tires, why not try some from a Sledgehammer, Monster Beetle, or Blackfoot?

While not soft, the Sledgehammer and MB tires are tough and aggressive.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

These were cheap tires I got a couple of years ago when I was looking for 2.2" tire options. He is going back to the Proline Trenchers.

The tire rupture was so violent it ripped the suspension arm from the hinge pin. When it first started to let go you could hear the tire tearing apart. It sounded like a car driving on a rumble strip.

Printed a couple of tool organizers and painted the B7D body. I know it's supposed to be red but I don't like red cars so it's blue.

I did a cosmetic cleanup on this oddball Trinity #2020 Reverse Rotation Monster Horsepower motor. Removed the caps and cleaned off excess solder & flux while trying to preserve the original label. It also had a pressed on brass gear that I had to cut off with the Dremel.
