Anyone know if FanRC shock caps will fit the smaller diameter AE RC10 shock bodies (pre-12mm shocks)?

Ahhh... so relieving, the simplicity of the American system from the rest of the world.

Are plastic caps ok? teshreve has a couple of sets in his B/S/T listing.
Frankensteined RC10T3 / Franky Jr RC10GT-e (x2) / A+ stamp / Toy Story RC / Graphite replica / B1.5 BFG 5LTi / Clonewald / Hyper Hornet

That's the problem, I currently have .71 and 1.32 gold bodies with plastic caps. But I'd like gray hard ano bodies with aluminum caps. For my black pan stealth car. I could settle with black aluminum caps on the gold shocks though.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 3:24 pmAre plastic caps ok? teshreve has a couple of sets in his B/S/T listing.

If you can find a set, these fit.

There were 2 sets of these earlier today but 1 set was sold

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I seen those earlier. There's also blue ones for $50. Not sure how folks justify spending $50 for shock caps. At that point, it would be silly not to spend $64 on brand new fully assembled FanRC shocks.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 9:32 pm There were 2 sets of these earlier today but 1 set was sold

Put some shelves up in the barn to help clear off my workbench. I've been resisting because I like to keep the space open. It does at least give some of my less liked cars a place to sit.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Raced 2wd 17.5 with my B6.4 and stadium truck open with my Storm ST. Also put down a few practice laps with my new toy, the NIX91 an also a B4.1 i worked on for a friend and my Ultima JJ.
The racing went fairly well. Felt I've become a bit more consistent in stock buggy and still struggled with the stadium truck at a particular part of the track. Couldn't quite get the triple right with the truck and decided to double single instead which seemed to help with my consistency with that truck.
Messing with the new to me NIX91 was fun, but learned that 3d printed stuff is a bit fragile for my track. Definitely will be neutering that car down to a silvercan setup instead of the 17.5t. Might be a bit better on dirt instead of high grip carpet but it was still pretty good, although i had to lower it a bit. Managed to break a front arm in a freak accident which was easy enough to fix. Later on i managed to break a rear arm after landing the triple, this was less easy. Ended up cheating a bit to get the arm swapped out but it did take a lot of screws to get at. Vowed to not do the triple after that with this car.
The Ultima JJ was great as usual and the brass front bulkhead really helped out with front grip and the B4.1 i worked on worked out pretty well in initial shakedowns.
Overall a fun and productive day.

I felt like the Tekin buggy needed a gold nose plate and shocks for the gold ESC and motor plate. And black front shock tower.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Built up an old chassis I had kicking around, this tub is twisted and bent, and a few holes drilled out for some reason. I left it with the powder coater a while back and said to surprise me. I dig the orange!
I installed the Ten4.1 kit, short arm version
Also has the irs-10 trailing arm set which we have back in stock for a short time. Finally, the mono shock front end. Oh and a VintageRC lipo holder.

Where can I get one of those sweet factory works motors? I can't seem to find them on the website?GoMachV wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:26 am Built up an old chassis I had kicking around, this tub is twisted and bent, and a few holes drilled out for some reason.
