I built a battery zapper in high school for Nicad batteries. Wonder if that spot welder would work the same way when used "improperly" hahaha

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got my Hilux battery pack all glued back together, and made up new stickers for it. It wasn't until after I got the stickers on that I was reminded that the case is actually embossed with Ni-Cd and 1200mAh, which contradicts the stickers, but oh well. For a 40 year old battery, it looks pretty good.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

That's a pretty nice sticker. How'd you make that?

Vinyl wrapped the sides of my new to me LRP IPC speed control. The blue chrome was significantly flaking off.

Yes Eagle arms. TRA1931. They used them on the TRX-1 and Nitro Hawk also. I guess they would fit an RC10. I guess this style of RC10 arms will fit a TRX-1..
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Its a two-piece sticker just printed on an inkjet and cut with a Cricut. As far as I know, there isn't a metallic material you can directly print on, so the backing is just a cut piece of silver foil sticker, and the top is black printed on clear sticker. Then just mashed together. It isn't the quality of the original by any means, but looks fine from a foot away.

Got this garbage heap sitting on it's own, with more mixing of parts.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 12:28 am Managed to fit one of those $20 Injora transmissions on a RC10 (going to be a truck). I had to clearance the gear cover a little, to allow more upward movement of the half-shafts.

The half-shafts came off a ECX Torment and the carriers are from a Traxxas Stampede. Both fit without any modification themselves but the control arms require clearanceing.
It has modified Traxxas Stampede front arms, 30° B4 caster blocks, modified B4 carriers with Traxxas axles. Shocks are mostly Traxxas, with Losi and ECX parts.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
The best part is the cost. The transmission and nose plate are the only things I bought for it (specifically for it, anyway). Everything else was laying around.
I've got plenty of electronics to choose from and my original 10T body is in a box somewhere.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got it functional for now. I picked up a Losi/Horizon esc/receiver and transmitter for cheap a while back (bought on a whim and never used it). Then I dug out an old JR servo and Team Associated Power 20 motor.
Found the original body from my Team Truck, then installed it raised a bit.

Started loading up the second display case, this one is mainly motors and batteries.
